When the doors are shut and the lights are out, your voice in my head continues the conversation with my heart. You are a constant companion, ever present, alive in my heart even when you're away.
Long before good night is said, before i step out of the car; long before the feverish hug, the warmth of you and your succulent arms wrapped around me, long before i am bereft of your chin against mine, long before i am robbed of the sudden warm sensation felt when i touch your sheen hair and you mine, and be denied the smell of your sweet cologne for another day, i miss you. My heart starts to count the minutes and seconds to the next time i will see your beautiful face and starts missing you long before you are gone again.
